Compliance Associate

About the job
Job Purpose:

Works under the leadership of a senior professional to review a corporation’s internal controls and policies and procedures and to ensure that such controls conform to regulations. An associate also may partner with internal auditors, accountants and tax compliance specialists when performing duties.

Responsibilities:

Helps a company ensure that employees abide by regulatory guidelines, top management’s directives and human resources policies when performing their tasks.
Ensures that staffs conform to industry practices and professional standards in activities in which they engage.
Ensures that legal elements in corporate transactions adhere to regulatory guidelines.
Monitor all projects for compliance processes and assist all regulatory examiners in processes and evaluate all transactions that require departmental approval.
Prepare all firm response according to regulations and evaluate and respond to all questions for compliance issues.
Prepare all reports and work paper for management and coordinate with various departments to evaluate all queries and resolutions.
Mastermind compliance policies and protocols on behalf of the organization
Develop and implement a compliance program to ensure the organization operates in accordance with the local/international laws
Determine compliance metrics and establish a system for tracking them
Sign off on any marketing and advertising collateral to ensure it is compliance
Remain up to date on state laws related to the organization and update policies accordingly
Perform compliance audits to determine whether establish protocols are being followed and where they can be improved
Maintain up to date written documentation and policies related to the organization’s business activities
Create compliance resource library for staff members to reference when they have questions
Conduct the screening and the due diligence process on the customers, partners, vendors and resellers.
Assist on identifying any red flags for the projects/deals and applying the internal controls and ensuring that the controls were completed in the assigned time lines.
Conducts the training on the new policies and the compliance frameworks to all the group employees
Should have a strong moral code and sense of ethics
Prepare the required reports for the top management and the regulators.
Assists on conducting the investigations whenever required for the concerns received on the whistleblowing system.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline.
0 to 2 Years of Experience in Compliance.
Fluent English
Good Problem Solving, Communication Skills and Working Under stress ability.
