1 – Credit Management and Control Manager (Exp – Wholesale Credit Risk Management)

About the job
Job Purpose
Handling of complex transactions with focus on onboarding high quality new to bank relationships which would entail preparation of high quality credit applications with proper identification of risks and mitigates which aligns with bank’s target market, appetite and credit policies.

Key Result Areas
Responsible to prepare accurate and complex credit proposals within acceptable Turn Around Time which meets bank’s internal standards.
To be able to assess customer’s financial data and identify risks/mitigates in line with banks risk appetite while highlighting any policy exceptions within the credit application and recommending mitigates for same.
Acting as the first line of risk control through providing the unit manager with a credit memo highlighting all credit risks and concerns of the transaction.
Transaction screening and conducting independent due diligence (i.e: Central bank check, Name screening, desktop search….etc)
Work closely with Corporate relationship managers to produce credit risk analysis and recommendations for credit facilities, support in KYC, due diligence and credit risk monitoring/enhancement throughout the relationship approval/onboarding process;
To be involved with Corporate relationship managers in the discussions of customers’ requirements, facility structure and related terms and conditions in addition to ensuring that all necessary information required for processing a credit proposal are obtained from the customer.
Taking ownership of assigned initiatives / projects for the division and within the bank.
Handling monthly/quarterly reports and ensure timely submissions.
Adhere to risk and compliance policies and practices within Mashreq bank, while ensuring to obtain necessary compliance approvals for high risk relationships.
Acquire thorough knowledge of the bank’s credit policies, products and services.
Attending to customers calls as may be required.
Review of facility documents in coordination with originators for execution including liaising with Legal team and obtaining required approvals.
To coordinate with operation team for limits loading and obtain required approvals in case of any exceptions.
Handling of account opening with originators and have full acquaintance of the DOB system while working closely with middle office and compliance to ensure smooth account opening experience.
Undertaking Risk and Control Assessment on quarterly basis to ensure compliance with Operational Risk Management policy of Mashreq bank.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Well-developed credit risk and financial analysis skills, with minimum 5-6 years in banking preferably in the wholesale Credit risk management.
Good knowledge of bank’s capabilities, specifically the full spectrum of Corporate products, services and product offerings;
Proficiency in credit risk, financial analysis, financial modeling, legal and bank’s product is a pre-requisite;
Sound knowledge of Bank’s policies and operating systems;
Good understanding of local regulations, AML and Fraud policies;
Strong interpersonal skills;
Good written / verbal communication and presentation skills;
Planning, time management and resource management skills.

2 – Senior Auditor (Information Technology) Egypt

Job Purpose

Developing and maintaining the IT audit universe at the country level/other branches under the oversight of the Country Head of Audit.
Conduct standard audits or lead audit in performance of IT audits and reviews of systems, applications and IT processes and support with other operational and financial audits. Develop, build & implement tools to analyze data to improve audit efficiency and effectiveness, (including for risk assessments). Ultimately be a source for analytics that business units adopt to provide business insights or for continuous auditing.

Key Result Areas
Develop and Maintain a IT audit universe with the use of the standard risk assessment methodology for prioritizing the information assets.
Prepare an Annual Audit Plan based on risk profile of the information assets.
Manage and ensure that audits are conducted as per the agreed scope using standard methodology to assess the effectiveness of controls in accordance with the Bank’s policies and procedures.
Identify weaknesses/opportunities for improvement and develop action plans with target dates for all the audit findings and present them for discussions for common understanding on the issues, and ensure timely follow-up till closure.
Develop, build & implement tools to analyze data to improve audit efficiency and effectiveness, (including for risk assessments). Ultimately be a source for analytics that other auditors adopt to provide business insights or for continuous auditing.
Take part in major IT initiatives and projects as well testing the controls for systems during development and after implementation.
Participating in Country Audits technology/Group wide audits as well as other audit themes as directed.
Providing regular updates to the Country Head of Audit – Egypt for the preparation of detailed annual audit plan based on risk assessment and evaluation of various processes/activities within the Country.
Fully complying with all systems and procedures, review criteria for selection of review parameters as established and modified from time to time, internal processes, turnaround time in carrying out the job in a professional and efficient manner ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with the rules and guidelines set out in Internal Audit Charter / Manual and in such manner that is consistent with International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Graduate from a prestigious and/or well recognized computer science/engineering university preferably with Business or accounting overview
CISA, CISSP Certification (or other relevant ISACA certifications). Other professional certification e.g. CIA, CFA, etc are additional advantages
Technical Experience in Information Technology risk based auditing and experience with auditing areas such as cloud computing/ operations, DevOps pipeline, Agile methodology, Information Security etc.
From 7-10 years’ of post qualification experience, preferably in Big 4 Audit firms or Banking industry in Senior Auditor position of which 5-7 years’ experience in IT Audit role
Professional certification or on the job experience in data analytic, SQL, ideas and ACL.
Excellent command over written and spoken Arabic and English.
Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills including project management skills.
Experience of providing project assurance reviews for transformational changes.
